Orient has created a black colorant system that allows for the transmission and absportion of laser wavelength in various resins. This includes PP, ABS, PC, PA6, PA66, PPS & PBT materials. Our materials transmit and absorb laser wavelength between 800 nm-1100 nm. We have also developed a material (LAW) to help overcome the "void" or spacing that occurs from the excessive heat release at the interface of the materials when solely using carbon black in the absorption layer.
